Your Right to Delete Your Data
At PostZen, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. This page provides clear instructions on how to delete your data and revoke access to any connected social media accounts.
Option 1: Delete Your PostZen Account
Deleting your PostZen account will permanently remove all your data from our systems, including all connected social media accounts, scheduled posts, analytics data, and account information.
Steps to Delete Your Account:
- Log in to your PostZen account at postzen.in
- Navigate to Settings from the dashboard sidebar
- Scroll to the Danger Zone section
- Click "Delete Account"
- Confirm your decision when prompted
Warning: This action is irreversible. All your data, including scheduled posts, connected accounts, and analytics history will be permanently deleted.
Option 2: Disconnect Individual Social Media Accounts
You can disconnect specific social media accounts (LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) without deleting your entire PostZen account.
To Disconnect from PostZen:
- Log in to your PostZen account
- Go to Settings → Connected Accounts
- Find the social account you want to disconnect
- Click the "Disconnect" button next to that account
- Confirm the disconnection
To Revoke Access from the Platform Directly:
Go to LinkedIn → Settings & Privacy → Data Privacy → Permitted Services → Find "PostZen" → Click "Remove"
Twitter/X
Go to Twitter/X → Settings → Security and account access → Apps and sessions → Connected apps → Find "PostZen" → Revoke access
Facebook/Instagram
Go to Facebook → Settings → Apps and websites → Find "PostZen" → Click "Remove"
Option 3: Request Data Deletion via Email
If you are unable to access your account or prefer to request deletion manually, you can contact us directly.
Send Your Request To:
support@postzen.in
Please include the following in your email:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- The email address associated with your PostZen account
- Whether you want to delete your entire account or just specific connected platforms
How We Verify Email Deletion Requests
To prevent unauthorized deletion, when you request deletion via email we ask that you include:
- The email address associated with your PostZen account
- Your PostZen Account ID (if known)
- A short statement: "I confirm I want my PostZen account and associated data deleted."
We may follow up with a verification code sent to your account email or ask for brief proof of account ownership. We will not ask for sensitive documents (e.g., password). If you cannot access your account email, contact support and we will advise alternative verification steps.

What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account or disconnect a social platform, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
Account Deletion Removes:
- Your PostZen account information (name, email, profile)
- All connected social media account tokens and credentials
- All scheduled and draft posts
- All analytics and performance data
- All AI-generated content history
- All team member associations (if applicable)
- Billing information (except where required by law)
Disconnecting a Social Account Removes:
- OAuth access tokens for that platform
- Stored page/profile information from that platform
- Analytics data specific to that connected account
- Scheduled posts targeting that account (cancelled, not published)
Deletion Timeline
Immediate
Access to your account is revoked. You will be logged out and cannot log back in.
Within 24 hours
All scheduled posts are cancelled. OAuth tokens are invalidated immediately.
Within 30 days
Personal data and platform data are permanently deleted from our primary systems and backups. If any limited residual copies remain in long-term backups for operational or legal reasons, we will permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize them as soon as practical and in accordance with applicable law.
LinkedIn-Specific Data Deletion
For users who have connected their LinkedIn account or LinkedIn Company Page:
- All LinkedIn OAuth access tokens are encrypted; upon deletion, these tokens are permanently destroyed
- We do not retain any LinkedIn passwords (we never collect them)
- Post analytics retrieved from LinkedIn are deleted along with your account
- You can revoke PostZen's access at any time via LinkedIn's own privacy settings
PostZen complies with LinkedIn's API Terms of Service and Platform Policies regarding data handling and deletion.
Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Data Deletion
For users who have connected Facebook Pages, Instagram Business accounts, or Threads (via Instagram Business profiles):
- All Meta OAuth access tokens are securely stored and will be permanently deleted upon account deletion or disconnection.
- We do not store Facebook, Instagram, or Threads passwords.
- Any analytics, insights, or content retrieved from Meta Platforms (posts, media, comments, engagement metrics) will be deleted along with your PostZen account.
- OAuth tokens are invalidated immediately when you disconnect an account or when your PostZen account is deleted.
- While we remove data from our primary systems within 30 days, copies in backups or logs may persist for a limited period for operational, disaster recovery, or legal reasons; we will permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize those copies as permitted by law.
You may revoke PostZen's access at any time from Meta's Apps and Websites settings (Facebook or Instagram). PostZen complies with Meta Platform Terms, Meta Developer Policies, and applicable data deletion requirements.
Third-Party Service Providers
We instruct our service providers (hosting, analytics, payment processors) to delete data on our behalf; however, those providers may have their own deletion timelines. We work with providers to ensure deletion is completed promptly.
Data Export: Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your data by emailing support@postzen.in with the subject "Data Export Request."
